Bromhexine-Grindeks contains the active substance bromhexine hydrochloride (‘bromhexinum’).
Uses and active ingredients
This medicine is suitable for people with acute or chronic bronchial or lung disease (COPD), during which the secretion and elimination of secretions are impaired. It changes the structure of the mucus, reducing its viscosity, which facilitates the expectoration of sputum.
Method of Administration
Adults: usual single dose is 8 to 16 mg (1-2 tablets of 8 mg) 3 times a day.
Children and adolescents: Children from 14 years of age – same as adults.
Children 6-14 years: single dose is 4-8 mg (0.5-1 tablet) 3 times a day.
This medicine should not be used in children under 6 years of age.
It is taken orally, with or without food. The tablets should be swallowed with a glass of water.
Storage. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25°C/77°F. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Composition
Composition of Bromhexine-Grindeks. The active substance is bromhexine hydrochloride. Each tablet contains 8 mg of bromhexine hydrochloride. The other ingredients are sucrose, lactose monohydrate, potato starch, magnesium stearate.
