Betadine kills germs and is effective against bacteria, fungi, spores, viruses and protozoa (unicellular organisms).
Properly conducted disinfection prevents the spread of infection and ensures fast, trouble-free healing. Iodine is effectively destroying bacteria material. In vitro it quickly destroys bacteria, viruses, fungi, and certain protozoa.
Betadine Iodine Antiseptic Ointment is recommended for the treatment of burns, wounds of septic and aseptic ulcers, bedsores, infected skin around the nails and tinea infections and other skin infections. It is a bacterial, sporicidal and fungicidal antiseptic.
Therapeutic indications: wounds, burns and ulcers antiseptic treatment.
How to use
Apply on the skin.
Treatment of skin infections and diseases: apply 1 or 2 times a day for no longer than 14 days.
Skin must be clean and drained. Treated are can be covered with a bandage or bandaging.
Do not use Betadine Iodine:
– If you are allergic to iodine or povidone or any of the other ingredients of this ointment;
– If you have hyperthyroidism (overactive thyroid gland);
– If there are other acute thyroid diseases;
– newborns and children less than 6 months of age;
– You suffer Diuringo (Duhring) herpetiformis inflammation of the skin (dermatitis);
– before treatment with radioactive iodine, and ionizing radiation test (scintigraphy).
