Strepsils Lidocaine Spray is a fast‑acting throat anesthetic and antiseptic spray used for strong sore‑throat pain, combining lidocaine with two antibacterial agents for targeted relief. It is typically supplied in a 20 ml bottle and is intended for adults (18+)
Indications for Use
Rapidly numbs throat pain thanks to lidocaine hydrochloride
Kills bacteria that cause throat infections (amylmetacresol + 2,4‑dichlorobenzyl alcohol)
Targets severe sore throat with direct spray application
Useful for mouth ulcers and small oral sores (per some pharmacy listings)
Recommended Daily Dose
Adults (18+): Spray the affected area 2 times, swallow gently
Repeat every 2 hours, up to 8 times per day (max 16 sprays)
Rotate the nozzle 90° before use
Do not inhale while spraying. Not for children under 18 years.
Do not use before meals — throat numbness may cause choking risk. Avoid prolonged use (>5 days) — may disturb natural throat flora.
