GeloMyrtol Forte, 300 mg gastroresistant soft capsules. Distillate obtained from the mixture of rectified essential oils of eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon (66:32:1:1)
Indications: GeloMyrtol Forte is a herbal medicine, the active substance is obtained from the essential oils of plants. For liquefying secretions in case of sinusitis and bronchitis. You must talk to a doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse after 10 days.
Do not take GeloMyrtol Forte:
– if you have inflammatory disorder in the region of stomach, intestines or bile ducts or if you have severe liver disease;
– if you are allergic to eucalyptus oil, sweet orange oil, myrtle oil, lemon oil, cineole (main ingredient of eucalyptus oil) or any other ingredients of this medicine (listed in section 6).
GeloMyrtol Forte should not be given to children under 6 years of age.
Ingredients: The active substance is distillate obtained from the mixture of rectified essential oils of eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon (66:32:1:1). One capsule contains 300 mg of distillate obtained from the mixture of rectified essential oils of eucalyptus, sweet orange, myrtle and lemon (66:32:1:1). The other ingredients are refined rapeseed oil, gelatin, glycerol 85%, hypromellose acetate succinate, triethyl citrate, liquid sorbitol (non-crystallising), sodium lauryl sulphate, talc, dextrin, ammonium glycyrrhizate, diluted hydrochloric acid. The pharmaceutical form of GeloMyrtol forte is uncoloured transparent soft gelatin capsules.
How to take GeloMyrtol Forte:
The recommended dose is:
Age 6-12 years
For the treatment of acute inflammatory conditions: 1 capsule 1-3 times a day
For the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions: 1 capsule 1-2 times a day
> 12 years
For the treatment of acute inflammatory conditions: 1 capsule 3-4 times a day
For the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions: 1 capsule 2-3 times a day
Take GeloMyrtol Forte 30 minutes before meal with lots of cold liquid. The last dose may be taken before going to sleep. The duration of GeloMyrtol forte treatment depends on symptoms. For chronic respiratory diseases prolonged treatment is possible.
Storage. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25 ºC / 77 °F. Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Possible side effects and warnings
Talk to your doctor immediately if the symptoms persist or become worse, if you develop breathlessness or fever or you start to cough up mucus containing blood or pus-like secretion.
If you have bronchial asthma, whooping cough or any other respiratory disease characterized by notable hypersensitivity of airways, you can take GeloMyrtol forte only after you have talked to your doctor.
GeloMyrtol Forte contains sorbitol. If you have been told by your doctor that you have intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicine.
Other medicines and GeloMyrtol forte. There are no known interactions with other medicines if the medicine is used according to recommendations.
Uncommonly gastrointestinal symptoms may occur, e.g. stomach pain/discomfort in upper abdomen, taste changes. In rare cases nausea, vomiting or diarrhoea may occur.
In rare cases hypersensitivity reactions (e.g. skin rash, pruritus, facial oedema, breathlessness and circulation disorders) have been reported.
Very rarely existing kidney or gallbladder stones may start to move.
