Strepsils Lidocaine 36 tablets are medicated lozenges for rapid relief of sore throat pain, combining two antiseptics and a fast‑acting local anesthetic (lidocaine). They are suitable for adults and children over 6 years and commonly used for painful, irritated throats.
Indications for Use
Relieve sore throat pain quickly thanks to lidocaine’s numbing effect
Reduce bacteria in the throat with two antiseptics: amylmetacresol & 2,4‑dichlorobenzyl alcohol
Soothe mouth ulcers and small mouth sores
Help with mild throat infections without fever
Active Ingredients (per lozenge)
Ingredient Amount
Lidocaine hydrochloride 2 mg
Amylmetacresol 0.6 mg
2,4‑Dichlorobenzyl alcohol 1.2 mg
Excipients include peppermint oil, star anise oil, levomenthol, sucrose, and glucose.
Recommended Daily Dose
Adults & children 6+: 1 lozenge every 2–3 hours
Maximum: up to 8 lozenges per day (24 hours)
Allow to dissolve slowly in the mouth
If symptoms persist more than 3–5 days, seek medical advice
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children below 25°C / 77°F.
