Dyspepsia, wrong diet, food generating gases and air swallowing cause the generation and accumulation of gas. Excess gas accumulates in the digestive tract as small inactive gas bubbles. Therefore gas absorption through intestinal mucosa is impaired or even completely inhibited. Simeticone is the active substance contained in the Antiflat chewable tablets that causes the gas bubbles to dissolve and then the released gas can be passed in the usual way. After administration of Antiflat chewable tablets the symptoms are usually rapidly reduced and the pressure in gastrointestinal tract reduces.

Uses and active ingredients

Antiflat chewable tablets are used:
– in case of excessive gas generation and accumulation in gestrointestinal tract (bloating), including functional disorders like flatulence and feeling of fullness;
– as a preparatory measure during gastrointestinal diagnostic investigation, for improvement of visibility during ultrasound and x-ray investigation to remove the gas bubbles limiting the field of view.

The active substance is simeticone. One tablet contains 42.00 mg of simeticone. The other ingredients are glycerol monostearate SE, fennel essential oil, peppermint essential oil, caraway essential oil, glucose, saccharose.

How to take Antiflat

The recommended dose for excess gas formation and bloating is:
For adults 1-2 tablets three times a day during or after meal. If required, 1-2 tablets may be taken before bedtime.
When using as preparatory means for gastrointestinal diagnostic investigation in adults, 2-3 tablets are taken after every meal on the day before and in the morning of the investigation day.
Recommended dose for children is 1 tablet three times a day during or after meal. If required, 1 tablet may be taken before bedtime.

Treatment duration
Treatment duration depends on the course and character of symptoms. Antiflat chewing tablets may be administered continuously if required.

Method of administration
Antiflat chewable tablets may be taken during or after meal.
Antiflat chewable tablets are administered orally. The tablets should be chewed.

Storage. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not store above 25 °C. Store in the original package, protected from moisture. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the carton after “EXP”. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Contents of the pack. Antiflat chewable tablet is white, round, biconvex tablet with smell and taste characteristic to
fennel and caraway. 50 tablets in a PVC/Al blister package.

– if you are allergic to simeticone or any of other ingredients of this medicine

– If symptoms do not improve or expected results are not achieved after taking Antiflat chewable tablets, talk to your doctor for further advice.
