ACIC cream is to be used for the treatment of cold sores and viral infections. It contains aciclovir which has been shown to reduce healing time in outbreaks caused by the herpes simplex virus. It works by slowing the growth and spread of virus in the body.
Uses and active ingredients
ACIC cream is used for the treatment, control, prevention and improvement of the following diseases, conditions and symptoms: Viral infections. ACIC cream may also be used for purposes not listed here.
Each gram contains: Aciclovir 50mg. Also contains: Stearoyl macrogolglycerides, Dimeticone 350, Cetyl Alcohol, White Soft Paraffin, Liquid Paraffin, Propylene Glycerol and Purified water.
The original package contains 2 g of cream.
Directions For Use / Dosage
Apply the cream to the affected area 5 times a day at approximately 4 hourly intervals for 5 days. For cutaneous use. Do not use in eyes. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
Storage. Do not store above 25°C. Do not refrigerate. Store in the original package. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Side-effects, precautions and interactions
These side-effects are possible, but do not always occur. Some of the side-effects may be rare but serious. Consult your doctor if you observe any of the following side-effects, especially if they do not go away. vomiting, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, itchiness. ACIC cream may also cause side-effects not listed here.
Some health conditions may make you more susceptible to the side-effects of the medicine. Important counseling points. avoid strong sunlight, drink plenty of water, use condom while having sex, do not take by mouth, wash your hands before and after applying ACIC cream, clean and dry the skin area to be treated, do not wash the treated area after immediately applying, avoid getting this medication in your eyes or nose or mouth. Do not use this product if you are allergic or have a hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. For advice on the use of this product in pregnancy and while breastfeeding, please speak to your doctor or pharmacist.
