FURASOL Powder
The active substance in Furasol, soluble furagin (the potassium salt of furagine), inhibits the activity of the enzyme systems of the micro-organism’s cells and some other biochemical reactions, causing the cytoplasmic membrane and envelope of the bacterial cell to break down. Sodium chloride regulates the osmotic pressure of the solution, thus enhancing the effect of soluble furagin.
Furasol is used for the topical treatment of inflammation of the mouth and throat caused by an infection.
Composition
The active substances are the potassium salt of furagine and sodium chloride. Each sachet contains 100 mg of furagine potassium and 900 mg of sodium chloride.
There are no excipients.
Method of use:
Adults and children over 4 years of age The powder in the bag should be dissolved in a glass of hot boiled water and rinse or gargle with a warm solution 2-3 times a day. The reconstituted solution is clear, yellow. The solution should be used immediately. It cannot be stored.
