Hewedolor® Procain 2%, 10 Ampules
Local Anesthetic for Neural Therapy,
The solution contains 40 mg of procaine hydrochloride on 2 ml of liquid. The aim of neural therapy is to achieve an effect via the vegetative nervous system in the affected segment. Hewedolor Procaine 2% is administered into the skin or into the interference fields and reaches the corresponding organ via the nerve.
DOSAGE
Hewedolor-Procain 2% is generally administered by a doctor. Please ask your doctor if you are unsure about how to use it.
As a general rule, only the smallest dose that achieves the desired effect may be administered. The dosage must be adjusted individually according to the specifics of the individual case.
If the doctor does not prescribe otherwise, the usual dose for adolescents over 15 years of age and adults of average height is:
Skin wheals per wheal up to 10 mg procaine hydrochloride (corresponds to up to 0.5 ml Hewedolor-Procain 2%).
The recommended maximum dose for a single application in tissues from which drugs are quickly absorbed is
500 mg procaine (corresponds to 25 ml Hewedolor-Procain 2%). When used in the head, neck and genital area, the recommended maximum single dose is 200 mg procaine (within 2 hours).
In patients with certain pre-existing conditions (vascular occlusions,
vascular hardening and narrowing (arteriosclerosis) or nerve damage in diabetes), the dose should also be reduced by a third. In the case of impaired liver or kidney function, increased plasma levels may occur, particularly with repeated use.
In these cases, a lower dose range is also recommended.

1 ampule of 2 ml contains:

Procaine hydrochloride 40 mg
1 ml injection solution contains 20 mg procaine hydrochloride.
Other ingredients: sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid 25% (m/m), water for
injections.
Type of application
Hewedolor-Procain 2% is injected into the skin (intracutaneously).
As a general rule, only low-concentration solutions of procaine should be used for continuous use.
Repeated use of this medicine can lead to a reversible loss of effectiveness due to
tachyphylaxis (rapid development of tolerance to the medicine).
The injection solution is only intended for single use. It must be used immediately after opening the container.
Any unused residue should be discarded.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children below 25°C / 77°F.
