Persen is a herbal medicinal product with mild sedation. 

Uses and active ingredients

Valerian roots have a calming effect, relieves symptoms of nervous tension. The leaves of lemon balm enhance the calming effect of the product. Mint leaves are traditionally used in conjunction with the roots of valerian plant products in a soothing effect. Persen is used for treatment of minor symptoms where the use of powerful sedatives is not rational. Persen helps with mild transient nervousness (like daily sedative during mental stress, anxiety, irritability) and / or temporary difficulty sleeping.

Composition. The active ingredients are valerian root dry extract, lemon balm leaf dry extract, mint leaves dry extract. The other ingredients are: Capsule: light magnesium oxide type E , magnesium stearate, lactose monohydrate, talc, colloidal anhydrous silica. Capsule coating: gelatin, red iron oxide ( E 172 ), titanium dioxide ( E171 ), yellow iron oxide (E 172).

Method of Administration 

Adults and children over 12 years of age with mental stress, anxiety or irritability take 3-4 tablets 3 times per day. For insomnia, take 3-4 tablets one hour before sleep.

The capsules should be swallowed with some liquid, regardless of food intake. Administration to children below the age of 12 years is not recommended. Persen has a gradual onset of action. To achieve optimal therapeutic effect is recommended to use at least 2 weeks. The duration of treatment is unlimited.

A single dose of 20 g roots of valerian (equivalent to 103 tablets) can cause symptoms such as fatigue, abdominal pain, tightness in the chest, dizziness, tremor of the hands and mydriasis. These symptoms disappear within 24 hours.

Storage. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25°C/77°F. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Warnings

Do not take Persen if you are allergic to valerian, lemon balm, mint or any other ingredients. No studies on the interactions of Persen with other medicinal products. Persen can be taken with synthetic sedatives products only when supervised by a doctor. The effect of Persen is not affected by food intake. Persen can affect the ability to drive and use machines. Therefore is not recommended before driving or operating machinery.
