Hesio Zentiva 450mg/50mg N120 tablets. Diosmin + Hesperidine. Detralex alternative
Indicated in adults for: Treatment of chronic venous insufficiency of the lower extremities in case of the following functional symptoms: – heavy legs and swelling; – pain; – nocturnal cramps of the lower limbs. Symptomatic treatment of acute haemorrhoidal crisis.
DOSAGE:
– Treatment of chronic venous insufficiency symptoms
The recommended dose for adults is 2 tablets a day for 2 months: one tablet at noon and one tablet in the evening with food. If symptoms persist, treatment can be continued for another 2 months.
If your symptoms do not improve or get worse after 6 weeks of taking Hesio for chronic venous insufficiency, talk to your doctor.
– Treatment of acute haemorrhoidal disease symptoms
For the first 4 days of treatment, the recommended dose for adults is 3 tablets twice a day (6 tablets a day). For the next 3 days, take 2 tablets twice a day (4 tablets).
Take the tablets with food.
If you are taking Hesio to treat your exacerbated haemorrhoids and your symptoms do not get better or worse after 7 days, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Side-effects, precautions and interactions
Do not take Hesio – if you are allergic to Diosminum or any of other ingredients of this medicine
Warnings and precautions
In case of worsening the symptoms of haemorrhoids it should be remembered that Hesio treatment is only symptomatic and should be short-term. If the symptoms do not disappear, proctological examination should be performed and doctor will decide about appropriate treatment.
Taking this medicine in symptomatic treatment, in case of worsening of the symptoms with haemorrhoids, does not preclude concomitant use of medicine administrated rectally.
Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Store in a dry, dark place, out of the reach of children below 25°C / 77°F.

The composition of Hesio
The active substance is micronised flavonoids (diosmin and other flavonoids calculated from hesperidin). Each film-coated tablet contains 500 mg of micronised flavonoids (equivalent to 450 mg of diosmin and 50 mg of other flavonoids calculated from hesperidin).
