Decatylen lozenges destroy bacteria and fungus that causes inflammation of the throat and infectious inflammation of the oral cavity.
Uses and active ingredients
The lozenges also contain an analgesic agent. Decatylen lozenges are generally well-tolerated and do not cause mucous membrane irritation. Decatylen does not cause dental caries and it can be used by diabetic patients. Decatylen is used for the antiseptic treatment of the mouth and pharynx, as well as for
relieving pain caused by bacterial and fungal infections. Decatylen used for topical treatment of acute oral and throat infections with significant pain syndrome, such as:
– tonsil, larynx, throat inflammation (tonsillitis, laryngitis, pharyngitis)
– inflammation of the gums (gingivitis)
– inflammation of the mucus of mouth cavity (stomatitis)
– oral mucosal fungal infections (eg thrush)
– after tonsil surgery and tooth extraction to facilitate healing.
Decatylen is advisable if you have unpleasant mouth odor.
Composition. Active ingredients are dequalinii chloride and cinhokaina hydrochloride. Each lozenge contains 0.25 mg dequalinii chloride (Dequalinii chloridum) and 0.03 mg cinchocaini hydrochloride (Cinchocaini hydrochloride). Other ingredients are sorbitol (E420), talc, magnesium stearate, colloidal anhydrous silica, peppermint oil and peppermint flavor.
Method of Administration
Adults and children from 12 years old: Take 1 lozenge every 2 hours. After inflammation, suck 1 tablet every 4 hours.
Children from 4 years of age: Take 1 lozenge every 3 hours. After inflammation, suck 1 tablet every 4 hours.
If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 7 days, you should contact your doctor. If you feel that the medication is too weak or too strong, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Storage. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25°C/77°F. Keep out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
Warnings
Do not use Decatylen if you are allergic to dequalinium chloride, cinchocaine hydrochloride or any of the
other ingredients of this medicine; if you are allergic to certain substances known as quaternary ammonium compounds (e.g. benzalkonium chloride).
