PASCOE Folic Acid 5 mg Solution 10 x 1 ml – Folsäure Injektopas®
Prophylaxis and treatment of folic acid deficiency if oral folic acid substitution is not possible, or if rapid correction of a pronounced deficiency is urgently necessary.
Ingredients. 1 ampule of 1 ml contains:
Active substance – Folic acid 5 mg per ml solution for injection
Excipients: Sodium hydrogen carbonate, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, water for injection.
Dosage
Method of administration:
Solution for injection for intravenous or intramuscular use
For treatment of severe folic acid deficiency:
daily: 0.2 ml – 1 ml (equivalent to 1 – 5 mg folic acid)
For prophylaxis:
As needed: 0.2 ml – 1 ml daily (equivalent to 1 – 5 mg folic acid)
Storage. Do not store at a temperature higher than 25 ºC / 77 °F. Store in the original package in order to protect from moisture. Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date which is stated on the package. The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.

Duration of use:
The duration of treatment depends on the extent of the folic acid deficiency, is dictated by the clinical picture and, if applicable, the corresponding laboratory diagnostic measures, and is determined by the doctor for each patient.
